Details
This 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback is finished in Silver Frost over black and powered by a replacement fuel-injected 390ci V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A refurbishment consisted of repainting the body and installing the replacement engine, transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, a Currie 9″ rear axle, a Flowmaster exhaust system, a tilt steering column, AutoMeter gauges, TMI bucket seats, power windows, and an aftermarket sound system. Additional equipment includes 15″ five-spoke wheels, power steering, the GT Equipment group, quarter window louvers, a fold-down rear seat, and a Hurst shifter.
The car left the factory finished in Silver Frost and was repainted as part of a refurbishment. Exterior features include quarter window louvers, chrome bumpers, faux quarter panel vents, reverse lamps, side mirrors, and a power antenna. The GT Equipment Group included grille-mounted fog lamps, black rocker panel stripes, “GT” badges, and a dual exhaust system. LED taillights and hood indicators are installed, and the vent window frames have been re-chromed.
The 15″ five-spoke wheels wear 215/65 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and modifications include power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, tubular front suspension components, and adjustable coilovers at all four corners.
The replacement 390ci V8 was installed as part of the refurbishment and features electronic fuel injection, an aluminum radiator, and aftermarket headers connected to a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, an Inland Empire aluminum driveshaft, and a Currie 9″ rear end.
