Details
This 1971 Buick GS 455 is powered by a 455ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in orange over saddle vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a rear spoiler, a GS hood, 15″ Rally-style wheels, a Flowmaster dual exhaust system, hi-compression pistons, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, and a Pioneer stereo.
The car was finished at the factory in Burnished Cinnamon (067) and it was repainted in its current shade of orange. Exterior features include a rear spoiler, dual side mirrors, a GS hood, and chrome bumpers.
The 15″ Rally-style wheels wear Buick center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Power steering is installed, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums.
The 455ci V8 was overhauled with 10:1 compression pistons and a replacement water pump, oil pump, timing chain, rocker arm assemblies, bearings, and starter. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. A Flowmaster dual exhaust system is installed.
