Details
This 1970 Dodge Challenger coupe is finished in purple over white vinyl and is equipped with a replacement 440ci V8 paired with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a Sure Grip differential. The car underwent a refurbishment and additional modifications include fuel injection, aluminum cylinder heads, exhaust headers, staggered-diameter wheels, front disc brakes, and more.
Finished from the factory in blue, the body was refinished in its current purple color. Features include dual hood scoops, R/T badging, body-color exterior mirrors, white side stripes, and dual exhaust outlets. E-T Team III wheels measuring 17″ in front and 18″ at the rear feature a silver finish accented with polished lips and are fitted with Hankook Ventus V12 evo tires in sizes 245/40 front and 275/40 rear. Stock B-body-spec disc brakes are fitted at the front and feature stainless-steel lines, and the suspension has powdercoated components, heavy-duty torsion bars, and polyurethane bushings.
The replacement 440ci V8 was fitted in place of the factory 318ci V8, and it features the following components: 440 Source Stealth aluminum cylinder heads, Edelbrock Pro-Flo intake, fuel rails, and throttle body, Megasquirt EFI with full sequential fuel and spark professionally tuned, Aluminum water-pump housing and water pump, TTi shorty exhaust headers,Replacement rear main seal, Replacement transmission-pan gasket and output-shaft seal. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a 8.75″ Sure Grip rear end equipped with 3.23:1 gears.
